However, I have never used Git in the Windows command line before and I don't know where to start. Remove the files from the repositorys Git history using either the filter-repo command or BFG Repo-Cleaner. I use Github Desktop to manage my Git projects and am super happy with it. However, when you undo a commit, you can either fully wipe out any changes (wipe them out fully from your disk, not only git ’s version control) or undo the version control step but also keep your files intact.
